THE STORY OF A PARTICULAR INSTALLATION
FROM START TO FINISH INCLUDING PHOTOS AS TOLD BY THE CUSTOMER

" The morning dawned in the Close like any other day.
but this would be different , for Clive was on his way !
Then Mark and Steve arrived and soon the work was underway.
brought their own George Foreman grill which meant they'd come to stay!
The soffits and the gutter were first of all to go,
then Clive was heard to mutter , " I think it's going to snow ! "
and snow it did - quite soon the snow had covered everything
perhaps, we thought , we should have waited till the start of spring!
The windows were removed , and it was chilly for a while ,
but when new ones were fitted they were greeted with a smile.
Another day , another stage , when at the crack of dawn (not quite!)
Roy and John , with JCB CAME STEAMING UP THE LAWN!
They measured , and they marked the ground and when all that was done,
foundations , very soon , were laid - conservatory begun!
We hadn't planned the paving , but that idea was best,
instead of just a patio, to have the blooming rest!
And then it got all exciting , when the framework all arrived,
dumped all round the garden but somehow the lawn survived!

Next came Mark and Tony , working , even when it rained,
with merry quips and tuneless songs-they kept us entertained!!
When Clive turned up , with trendy tent , we thought "that's really cool",
but then , instead of food and drink , he filled it up with tools!
The cloakroom raised a question , as to where the door should be,
the plumbing hid discreetly, if a friend should come to tea.
You'd think that after all these things , we couldn't want for more,
but just to crown it all, we had a beautiful new front door!
A set of tools was meant to come-straight from the USA,
and in anticipation we waited in all day!
No parcel came - we worried , but learned , alas , alack,
trouble with the customs meant they sent the damn thing back!
We gave up retail therapy , one day , to sit and wait,
for the promised electrician , whom , we thought was running late.
He turned up two days later , at teatime, with a tale,
that sounded rather suspect , and , if breathalysed he'd fail!
But then , along came Andrew , a truly brighter "sparks"
and if we had to rate him- he'd surely get full marks!

A little break , until , the whole thing started up again,
the house was in turmoil , and over-run by men!!
But now,it was all taking shape, and looking quite superb,
with conservatory and cloakroom - a near-complete re-furb!
New gadgets too , to play with , remote control in hand,
switching lights on,by mistake, when you just want the fan!!
How many times did Eileen say "Oh , while you're here ".....and then,
she'd find another little job (or maybe nine or ten!)
It's been a great experience , and worth the dust and noise ,
we couldn't have gone through it all , without Clive and the boys,
So thankyou chaps , fro everything , we're really glad we met ,
we may want some more things done one day - but bloody hell , not yet !!
